Today our church celebrated both it's 20th anniversary and it's last Sunday service. Familiar faces we hadn't seen for years returned to help us celebrate. After today the church building and the people who go there will become part of another local church. One of the former ministers spoke this morning and mentioned that it was a miracle that the vote to dissolve the church and allow our building to be bought was 100% - his comment was that getting everyone to agree unanimously was truly a God-thing. To think that both churches voted 100% in favor of the buy-out - I can only agree - it must be a God-thing.
The worship team had one last new song for us to learn - "God of This City" by Chris Tomlin. It seemed very appropriate. Here's a link if you'd like to listen to it.
Please pray for our newly-joined congregation in the coming months - I'm sure it won't be easy to blend two independent church bodies into a harmonious community - but with God's help, we're going to try!

That truly is amazing both churches agreed 100%. It seems you are off to a God-start.
