The last several days, I’ve spent every spare minute weeding through mounds of baby clothes. It appears that when it comes to clothing BabyGirl, I’m a hoarder!
In addition to receiving trash bags full of clothes from friends for BabyGirl to wear, I also have purchased several lots of used clothing off Craigslist (love it!!!). The result is that I find I now have piles and piles of clothes, some of which are not my taste, or they are the wrong size for the wrong season, or there is nothing else that will match that particular style or color.
So, I’ve decided to go through and weed out those that she won’t be wearing and re-post them on Craigslist so someone else can get some benefit from them. Then the question becomes how many outfits does one child need in each size? I searched for an answer online and found where someone else had asked the question, but the responses were all from people in my shoes – they stated their children had way too many clothes as well.
So I decided that, based on how many times a week I wash clothes, and how many outfits she goes through in a day…I guessed maybe 14 outfits would be a good starting number (plus outfits for special occasions, PJ’s, etc.).

ooh, this is difficult for me to figure out... hmmm, well being that I have four little kiddos, 10-15 outfits for each, some have more, some have less- I guess I would figure at least 50ish. A lot more than I do! :)

Clothes, goodness, I'm just thankful to have a washing machine and not be line drying in the rain forest anymore!

My children are growing up…not babies. I try to keep only as many as I need between washings…like you. It works well for me.
I also just started my current blog at the end of May. I did have another blog started at the end of October last year for 3 months, but I had to take about a 6 month break from blogging.
